Zircon Software Grows Senior Leadership Team with Technology Director Appointment
Zircon Software Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of David R Owen as Technology Director, further strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to invest in engineering excellence, innovation, and long-term growth.
While sharing the same name as Zircon’s Managing Director, David joins the business as a new addition to the leadership team, bringing extensive experience in engineering leadership, technology delivery, and operational improvement.
As part of Zircon’s continued modernisation strategy, the business is also investing in the responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools to help accelerate software development, testing, and delivery activities, while maintaining the rigorous assurance, governance, and traceability required within safety and regulated industries.
Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director David Owen said:

David joins Zircon at an important stage in the company’s evolution, with responsibility for leading engineering delivery, modernising delivery capability through process improvement and automation, and supporting the development of future products and recurring revenue opportunities. Alongside his leadership responsibilities, David will also work directly on customer projects, helping to ensure Zircon continues to combine strong technical delivery with hands-on engineering expertise.
